1. Who we are
GetCode is a trading name operated in the United Kingdom, registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). Contact: privacy@getcode.one
2. What data we collect
Account data: email address, username, and display name when you register. Usage data: credits consumed, output types used, and timestamps. Payment data: processed exclusively by PayPal — we do not store card or payment details. Technical data: IP address (for rate limiting and security), browser type, and device information. Uploaded files: temporarily processed to generate output and not stored after generation completes.
3. How we use your data
To provide the GetCode service and process your generation requests. To manage your account, subscription, and billing. To send transactional emails such as account confirmation, password reset, and receipts. To prevent abuse, fraud, and enforce our Terms of Service. We do not use your prompts or generated content to train any AI model.
4. Project privacy — who can see your work
Everything you generate is PRIVATE BY DEFAULT. Only you can see your generations, history, and projects. No other user — including other members on a Team plan — can access your private generations unless you explicitly share them. The only exception is the public Showcase Gallery: if you choose to click "Gallery" on a generation, that specific item becomes publicly visible. This is a deliberate, opt-in action you control. You can delete any showcase item at any time, which immediately removes it from public view. GetCode staff do not browse your private generations except when responding to a support request you have initiated.
5. Ownership of generated content
You own 100% of everything you generate with GetCode. GetCode makes no intellectual property claim on any code, text, image, or other content produced for you. You may use, modify, sell, distribute, or commercialise your generated content without restriction, attribution, or royalty. GetCode is granted only a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to process your prompts solely to deliver your requested output. This licence does not extend to training AI models, reselling your content, or sharing it with third parties.
6. AI training — explicit statement
GetCode does NOT use your prompts, uploaded files, or generated outputs to train any AI model — ours or any third-party provider's. When your prompt is sent to an AI provider (Anthropic, Google, or OpenAI), it is processed under data processing agreements that prohibit training on customer inputs. Your content is never stored by AI providers for training purposes. This policy applies to all plans including Free.
7. Team plan and data access
On Team plans, billing and credit usage are shared at the organisation level, but generations and projects remain individual and private. Team members cannot see each other's generations, history, or project contents. Only the account owner can see organisation-level billing and usage summaries (credits consumed, not content). Each member's work is fully isolated.
8. Showcase Gallery
The Showcase Gallery is completely opt-in. A generation is published to the gallery only when you explicitly click "Gallery" in the output panel. Published items display your username and the output type — your email is never shown. You may delete any gallery item at any time; deletion is immediate and permanent. GetCode may remove items that violate our Acceptable Use Policy.
9. Sharing and links
GetCode does not offer shareable links for private generations. There is no "share with a link" feature that exposes your private work. The only way another person can see your output is if you copy and send it to them yourself, or if you have published it to the public Showcase Gallery.
10. Legal basis (UK/EU GDPR)
Contract performance: to deliver the service you signed up for. Legitimate interests: security, fraud prevention, and service improvement. Legal obligation: retaining billing records for 7 years as required by HMRC.
11. Data sharing and subprocessors
We share your data only with service providers necessary to operate GetCode: Supabase (database hosting), PayPal (payments), Anthropic / Google / OpenAI (AI generation — only your prompt is sent, no personal identifiers), Resend (transactional email), and Vercel (hosting). Full list at getcode.one/subprocessors. We do not share data with advertisers, data brokers, or analytics resellers.
12. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, port, restrict, or erase your personal data. Email privacy@getcode.one. We respond within 30 days. You may also lodge a complaint with the ICO at ico.org.uk. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Danger Zone.
13. Data retention and deletion
Account data is retained while your account is active and deleted within 30 days of account deletion. Generation history is deleted immediately upon account deletion. Individual generations can be deleted at any time from your History page — deletion is instant and permanent. Showcase Gallery items are removed immediately when you delete them. Billing records are retained for 7 years as required by UK law. Server logs are retained for 30 days.
14. International transfers
Your data may be processed in the United States by our service providers. We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK International Data Transfer Agreement for these transfers.
